Kenyan coffees are known for their intensity: bright acidity, clear fruit, and a structure that feels different from almost anywhere else in the world. This lot from the Kiamugumo Washing Station delivers that classic energy, but with more balance and drinkability than many high-acid Kenyans. In the cup, we get notes of blood orange, kiwi, and lemonade. Its juicy, citrusy, and refreshing, with enough sweetness underneath to keep the acidity from feeling sharp. The processing is classic washed Kenya. Ripe cherries are handpicked, sorted, pulped, fermented, washed through grading channels, and dried on raised beds, a method built for clarity and precision. This coffee shines as pourover and makes a particuarly delicious iced flash brew.
